New Exhibitor Insurance Scheme

Adequate and proper insurance at International exhibitions has always been a difficult subject. The obligatory minimum cover we require you to have is £2million Public Liability Insurance relevant to the event. We have always advised that exhibitors should have sufficient insurance in place to cover, loss or damage to their stands or products, accidental damage to the venue and to cover against event cancellation and/or abandonment.

Due to the fact we move Gastech around, we get asked if we have appointed or can recommend an insurance company to help with insurance cover. In the past we have not nominated a plan or company to our customers as we felt that no existing plan fulfilled the needs of the majority of our exhibitors. This has not been unique to Gastech and is an industry problem.

As organisers we have realised that to be able to provide a ‘full service’ to our customers we needed to relook at the issue of Insurance cover and have therefore worked with Hiscox UK, a market leader in exhibition insurance, to provide the ‘Gastech Exhibitors Insurance Scheme’.

This scheme is unique, is not compulsory and offered only to Gastech exhibitors. For an agreed one off cost you will be covered for:

1. £20,000 of cancellation expenses
2. £5,000 of general property
3. £2,000,000 of public liability

Please note the following:

If you do not wish to be covered by the scheme you must opt out. If you opt out you will be asked to sign an Insurance waiver form to confirm that you have the required minimum Public Liability cover.

This policy incorporates a £100 administration fee
This policy is designed to cover the majority of our exhibitor’s with an adequate amount of cover. If you are an EU based company and need to increase the cover you can email eventinsurance@hiscox.com and Hiscox will contact you within 2 working days to discuss your insurance needs
